The seas around Zanzibar are famous for their turquoise clear water, abundant marine life and healthy corals.  This two centre trip allows us to comfortably explore the 3 most popular dive areas: Stone Town, Kendwa and Mnemba Atol as well as have free time to experience Stone Town World Heritage Site

Our diving partners are Zanzibars leading dive operator One Ocean Dive.  The only operator with dive centers in all three locations: Stone Town, Kendwa and Matemwe.  All dives are boat dives.

Arrival Day Mon 14th
Arrive Abeid Amani Karume International Airport (ZNZ) Self transfer and check in to The Swahili House Hotel Stone Town (8 km).  The dive shop will stay open until 6pm - If time permits lets go sort out equipment. 

Day 1:  Tues 15th
8:30 am  meet at One Ocean Dive for 2 dive boat trip return approx. 2 pm. Afternoon free time to explore Stone Town or optional twilight/night dive

Day 2: Wed 16th
8:30 am  meet at One Ocean Dive for 2 dive boat trip return 2 pm. Afternoon free time to explore Stone Town or optional twilight/night dive or boat trip to the famous Prison Island 

Day 3: Thursday 17th 
9am checkout and transfer to Sunset Kendwa Hotel Approx. 2 hour drive. 1 pm meet at One Ocean Kendwa for 2 dive boat trip 

Day 4: Friday 18th
8:00 am meet at One Ocean Kendwa for a 2 dive boat trip return 1:00 pm then 3:30 pm out for 1 dive  Optional night dive

Day 5: Sat 19th
7:00 am pick up from Kendwa travel 1 hour to Matemwe for 2 dive boat trip at Mnemba Atol.  Then back to Kendwa for lunch and 3:30 pm 1 dive trip  Optional night dive

Day 6:  Sun 20th 
The Best of the Best: to be decided: 2 morning dives Kendwa or Mnemba Atol.  No afternoon or night dive options for most people flying out the next day 

Day 7: Mon 21st
Check out and transfer to airport

Does Not Include

Domestic or international flights, airport transfers, 6 optional night dives @ USD 30 per dive. BCD and Reg USD 20. Not including lunch and evening meals,  tips, personal expenses. Infrastructure tax of $2.00 per person per night will be charged directly at each hotel.

Water Temperature / Exposure Protection 

We can expect around 27 degrees Celsius 80 Farenheit.   5 mm short wetsuits are included.  If you are concerned about your comfort underwater please bring your own wetsuit or speak to your local dive center about additional exposure protection items such as gloves, hoods, under layers or over layers.

Zanzibar Visas

Countries whose nationals can obtain a visa upon arrival and are also eligible for online visa:- USA, Thailand, India, UK, France, Myanmar

Countries whose nationals are visa-exempt for Tanzania (including Zanzibar) :- Singapore and Malaysia 

Mandatory Inbound Travel Insurance

All visitors to Zanzibar (excluding residents) must have mandatory Inbound Travel Insurance from the Zanzibar Insurance Corporation (ZIC) for the duration of their stay (up to 92 days). You can only buy this insurance from ZIC. Other international travel insurance policies will not be accepted.
